1. How many people does each Century Room hold?

One room can hold 70 theater style and seat 50 with tables/chairs. The entire room may accomodate 140 theater style and seat 100 with tables/chairs.

2. What types of events can I have at Centennial Commons?

The only events allowed at Centennial Commons are: business meetings, birthday parties for children 11 and under, baby showers and wedding showers. All other events need to be held at the Heman Park Community Center.

3. Do non-profit organizations get discounts for the Century Rooms?

No, we only have resident and non-resident rates.

4. What hours are the Century Rooms available for rent?

The facility is available for rent during busines hours of operation (see brochure for Centennial Commons hours of operation). If you would like to rent after hours, there is an additional fee - and the event needs to be scheduled more than a month in advance.

5. Are we allowed to bring food into the facility for our event?

Yes, but all food needs to stay in the rooms, and is not allowed in the rest of the facility.

6. Can I come in before my rental time to decorate?

No, you need to include your decorating and clean up time in your fees.

7. Do you have a kitchen available?

No, we do not have kitchen facities available at Centennial Commons.

8. Can I have alcohol at my event?

Yes, but you can not sell alcohol at your event. In order to have alcohol on the premises, an alcohol request fee of $10 must be received at the time of reservation.

10. At what age can youth use the fitness area?

Youth may use the fitness area at the age of 12 and 13 after successful completion of our Parent/Child Fitness Orientation Class. A parent must accompany youth ages 12 and 13 at all times when they are working out. The free weight area is open to youth ages 14 and 15 after successful completion of our Youth fitness orientation class. Youth 16 and older are exempt from taking either fitness orientation class.

11. Is there a cost for the Parent/Child Fitness Orientation or Youth Fitness Orientation classes?

There is a minimal fee of $10 for both Parent/Child Fitness Orientation and the Youth Fitness Orientation.

12. May I bring my own Personal Trainer to Centennial Commons?

We do not allow non-Centennial Commons personal trainers to train in our facility. To reach a personal trainer, please contact our control desk, 314-505-8625.
