    October 24, 2020, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM @ U. City High School Stadium

    U. City students, staff, and families: You are invited to a free, physically-distanced outdoor event featuring hundreds of glowing pumpkins carved by you! Starting at dusk (6 p.m.) on Saturday, Oct. 24, guests can stroll leisurely and at a safe distance around the UCHS stadium track to see the pumpkins a-glow. Drop off your carved Jack-O-Lanterns near the Balson entrance of the high school stadium from 3 to 5 p.m. the day of the event. (We'll provide LED candles.) Or visit our free pumpkin-carving stations from 2 to 5 p.m. on the playground at Jackson Park Elementary School. Volunteers will be on hand to help. Every U. City student can pick up a free pumpkin for the event during our Grab N Go drive-thrus on Tuesday, Oct. 20. The drive-thrus go from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Pershing Elementary, Barbara C. Jordan Elementary, Jackson Park Elementary, and Brittany Woods Middle School.

    University City, MO – On Saturday, October 24, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. the University City Police Department and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration will provide the public the opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs. Bring your pills for disposal to Millbrook Pharmacy at 7010 Pershing Ave, University City, MO 63130. (Sites cannot accept liquids, needles or sharps, only pills or patches.) The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked. To keep everyone safe, collection sites will follow local COVID-19 guidelines and regulations.
