Green Practices Committee

The Green Practices Committee was formed in July 2008. The Committee was formed to provide Guidance to the City to continue reducing its carbon footprint in accordance with the U.S. Conference of Mayors Climate Protection Agreement by 2012 and increase green practices throughout the University City community, including the City itself, residential households, businesses, schools and other institutions.
The Committee is made up of an impressive list of community leaders who have backgrounds in science, architecture and sustainability. They include:
· Donna Leach Heimos-Co-Chair (Architect and Realtor)
· Lynn Ricci (City Council Liaison)
· Jerry Breakstone (Retired Architect from Hellmuth, Obata & Kassabamm (HOK))
· Tim Michels (Energy Consultant- Energy Solutions, Inc.)
· Neville Rapp (Medical Research WU Neurology Department, Sierra Club Member)
· Lois Sechrist (Interior Designer, LEED-AP certified)
· Hilary Davidson
Staff Liaison-Lynnette Hicks (Sr. Public Works Manager)
The Green Practices Committee meets the second Wednesday of the month at 6:30 pm at City Hall, 6801 Delmar Blvd., 2nd Floor Conference Room. Visitors are welcome to come and observe. However, because of the amount of work the committee is attempting to accomplish in such a short time frame, we ask visitors to reserve questions or comment until the meeting has adjourned or direct them to Ms. Hicks via email or phone following the meeting.
