Overview
Functioning as an advisory body to the City Council, the Plan Commission reviews and advises on development and zoning activity in University City. Responsibilities of the Plan Commission include overseeing the master plan of the city and acting as the zoning commission. They review applications for Conditional Use Permits, Subdivisions of land and buildings, zoning code text amendments and rezonings (zoning map amendments).
Commission Meetings
The Plan Commission usually meets on the fourth Wednesday of the month at 6:30 pm in the EOC room of City Hall. The Plan Commission consists of seven members, appointed by City Council. Ex-officio nonvoting members include a city, the city manager, the director of community development and the planner.
