How do you get an occupancy permit?

Applications are made in person at the Department of Community Development on the fourth floor of City Hall, 6801 Delmar Boulevard. There is a $25 charge for the application which is not refundable. Forms of payment accepted are cash, check, Mastercard or Visa.  There is a 3% convenience fee for processing credit card payments.

There is a $35.00 fee for Conditional Occupancy Permits, which is to be paid prior to processing the permit.

The occupancy permit will not be issued until the city inspects the dwelling and it is found satisfactory for occupancy.
