[ARCHIVED] Public Meeting Notice - Draft Complete Livable/Streets Policy

Citizens are invited to review and provide comments on the draft Complete Livable/Streets Policy. All public comments will be provided to City Council in consideration of adopting the policy as an Ordinance. In June 2012, the Mayor’s Task Force on University City’s Bike and Walkability recommended a Complete/Livable Streets Policy to establish guiding principles and practices to be considered in all transportation projects that encourage walking, bicycling and other non-motorized forms of transit, in addition to normal motorized transit.

Complete Streets are streets for everyone that are designed and operated to enable safe access for all users. The goal of the policy is the interconnected network of “Complete Streets” that balances the need of pleasant and appealing ways in order to achieve maximum functionality and use.
