Do your part this Earth Day! Did you know that litter on the ground here in University City easily makes it's way to the ocean? Clean up litter and track what you find to help guide necessary action to prevent plastic litter.
1 - Download the Marine Debris Tracker on Android or iOS
• Download the Debris Tracker, a free App to record what type of litter exists and where it is located.
• Open the App and allow access to your location to mark where you are finding debris.
• Click "Start Tracking" and select the list named "MRCTI."
• You're ready to start tracking litter!
2 - Pick up Trash and Collect Data
• Grab a partner - one person picks up trash, the other enters the data into the app.
• Use the Debris Tracker to record the items you find by selecting the type of litter and tapping the "Add" button.
• When you are finished, click "Upload Session." A checkmark will appear when complete.
3 - See your Results!
